Book Launch

Today was a very exciting day with the launch of my book, “Embracing The Waves.” I don’t consider myself as someone who is special by any means as many people have written books. Millions of those books were masterpieces, having an impact on lives for generations. However, I don’t take lightly the accomplishment I’ve achieved and needed to write about it. I’m sure I will forget. : )

I anticipated this day for many years, knowing it would happen but not understanding the emotions I would feel when it did. The culmination of these feelings was the seven years from start to finish. Here’s a sampling of those feelings.

1. Excitement of starting.

2. Bewilderment learning about the process.

3. Excitement about the process.

4. Frustrated not being able to write or type at the beginning.

5. Happy Kim was willing to write as we talked through the process.

6. Joy of reading the first outline for the first time.

7. Sorrow from reading the first outline.

8. Motivation to regain some function to type.

9. Feeling satisfaction being able to type with one finger.

10. Thrilled with progress.

11. Discontent with no progress.

12. Passionate to keep going.

13. Inspired to write and edit.

14. Uninspired to write and edit.

15. Overwhelmed with the process.

16. Loved and inspired by the many who helped me.

17. Thankful and grateful to those who helped, and you who are reading this.

I left a gap after each feeling since I could have added many more in between. This short-list cannot give you the whole scope of my emotions as I finished this book but I felt like they all poured out at once when I clicked the launch button.
