Grateful & Thankful

Carlos Santana quote:  Joy is not labor or a job, it’s more like an offering. The more you get into it from the heart, the less you feel gravity and time and mischief or grief, anything like that. That all seems to disappear.

He was then asked,”how do you get into that mindset?

He said,”there is two thoughts that create a lot of energy. There’s willingness to allow and allow willingness. He also said, “I’ve been doing this as a child, you take a deep breath and you trust that you can create thrust.

How profound!

He was asked about how he talks about inspiring the audience, how do you stay inspired?

The best way to do one thing is to do the other.

Example: it’s impossible to be happy, unless you’re grateful first. Once I start saying thank you for this shirt, thank you for the guitar and the food, thank you for the house being paid etc....  when you start thinking gratitude, the bigger the smile gets. Because the opposite of gratitude is negative entitlement.

When people give you everything, it’s not enough!
